Host Family
We will be hosting the Kashiwa delegation (eight students and one adult leader) in August. Host families are needed in Torrance to host one exchange student for 10 to 12 days.
The families of students who are selected to go to Kashiwa are required to host. Additional families are also needed since each Kashiwa guest needs two host families during their visit.
All families are welcome to apply. Host families are screened by TSCA members prior to selection.
Daytime activities, one weekend, and some night activities are scheduled by TSCA. Each host family has some evenings and one weekend to plan family activities with their guest.
2024 Host Family Dates
1st session begins on Monday, August 5th and the last night of hosting is Monday, August 12th.
The students are in San Diego from Tuesday to Thursday, August 13th - 15th.
2nd session begins on Thursday, August 15th and the last night of hosting is Wednesday, August 21st.
Important Host Family Orientation Meeting - Tuesday, July 23rd at 7 PM in the Katy Geissert Library Meeting Room.
